Treasure Valley Classical Academy is an open enrollment, tuition-free public charter school. TVCA will open with grades K-6 in August 2019 and will expand by adding one grade each year until the school reaches K-12 status. All Treasure Valley students are eligible to attend, with seats filled through a lottery system.

Treasure Valley Classical Academy will hold a lottery on April 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM for grades K-4 that have more than 54 applications, and for grades 5-6 that have more than 27 applications.

Information About SchoolMint

Treasure Valley Classical Academy’s lottery is computerized using a lottery system provided by SchoolMint. SchoolMint is an industry leader in online enrollment management solutions and is used by charter schools and traditional public school systems across the United States. SchoolMint’s lottery software ensures random placement of students by grade and utilizes an industry-standard randomizer to sort applicants into available seats and wait lists. An audit trail for all changes is maintained in the SchoolMint system, including any wait list changes that occur as a result of students accepting or declining offers.SchoolMint will allow parents to apply and register on mobile devices or computers. Parents will be able to create accounts and check their Intent-to-Enroll application status in minutes. They will also be able to choose whether to receive communications by e-mail or text.

Important Requirements and Information for All Applicants

All families must apply via SchoolMint in order to apply to the school, regardless of whether an Intent-to-Enroll form has already been filled out (either paper copy or online). Intent-to-Enroll applications must be received via SchoolMint no later than April 5, 2019 at 11:00 PM.

  • Families will be notified of their status the same day as the lottery.
  • Families who accept an offer of admission will be sent a message from SchoolMint to begin the online registration process.
  • Families who are placed on a wait list will receive a message with the student’s individual wait list position.
  • Applications received through SchoolMint after the deadline of April 5, 2019 will be added to the post-lottery wait lists, in the order received in the SchoolMint system.

Below, you will find the link to the SchoolMint sign-up page to begin your Intent-to-Enroll application. You will first need to set up a family account in SchoolMint, then you can fill out an Intent-to-Enroll application for each student applying.

As per Idaho Code, all prospective students will be given the opportunity to enroll regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, gender, socio or economic status, or special needs.


This Intent-to-Enroll application period ends April 5, 2019 at 11:00 PM.
