Arrival and Dismissal

The daily class schedule is from 8:00am – 2:30pm for K-6th grade and from 7:45am – 3:00pm for 7th grade.

Normally, K-2nd grade students participate in story time with Mr. Lambert (at 7:30am in the gym) and 3-6th grade students participate in morning assembly activities with Dr. Condra (at 7:30am in the auditorium).  However, due to current non-congregant restrictions (due to COVID-19), students will proceed directly to their classrooms upon arrival in the morning.

    • 7:30am:  Buses Arrive

Dismissal Schedule

      • Note:  K-6th grade students with 7th grade siblings will be able to wait in the gym.

Primary Modes of Transportation

Parents must choose one of the following as the primary mode of transportation for their students:

    • Bus
    • Car Drop-Off / Car Pick-Up
    • Walk-Up / Walk-Out

Parents may choose different primary modes of transportation for arrival and dismissal (for example: start-of-day Car Drop-Off + end-of-day Bus).

Walk-Out

This option is only for students who will either walk or bike home by themselves or who will walk home accompanied by a parent (or authorized adult).

Walk-out parents should wait outside the school front doors for students to be released.

Car Pick-Up

Car Tags: Parents who choose this as their primary mode of end-of-day transportation must pick up a numbered car tag from the school front office.

Car tags must be visibly displayed in the car pick-up line. Parents without car tags will be required to exit the car pick-up line, par, and present ID to the front office.

Front Office Pick-Up

Under special circumstances (such as a doctor’s appointment), parents may pick up students from the front office.

Parents must arrive 30 minutes prior to the end of the school day for front office pick-up.

Late Arrival

Parents who arrive after the start of school must walk students into the front office and sign them in.

Late arrivals should not be dropped off. This is a safety issue: school staff will not be present outside after the start of school.

Transportation Changes

Parents who wish to change their primary mode of transportation must email the school at change@tvcacademy.org at least two hours prior to the end of the school day.
