SUMMARY:7th Grade Hike
DESCRIPTION:From Mr. Hymas:\nWe are excited to announce that our 7th grade hike Saturday\, August 26\, will be to Loon Lake\, northeast of McCall. It is a 12-mile hike that is relatively easy due to only slight elevation changes. At the far end of the lake\, there is a bonus of getting to see the remains a WWII bomber and learn of the courageous story of its crew who survived a January 1943 crash and winter-time trek to survive.\n\nWe will be leaving from TVCA at 5am and will return before 7pm.  We will work to call/text parents’ cell phones if our plans are significantly altered.\n\nWe will be providing lunch\, dinner\, and transportation and an EMT parent who has volunteered to go and who has taken his Scout troop to this location various times. Parents are welcome to join us and well.\n\nThe cost per participant (student or parent) will be $25 to cover transportation and lunch. You may pay at mypaymentsplus.com. Permission slips and other details are captured on that site. Please have payments completed by Wednesday at midnight so we can make plans.\n\nParticipants should remember to bring:\n\ncomfortable shoes (no hiking shoes/boots necessary; only bring shoes that have been worn for a while to avoid blisters)\nsunscreen\na hat\nsnacks\na positive attitude (we are going to have a great time!)\nplenty of WATER!\npermission slip before school ends on Wednesday\n\n\nIf you have any questions or concerns\, feel free to email Mr.Hymas at jhymas@tvcacademy.org
