The title of his lecture is: Preserving a Cultural Inheritance: Throughlines Between the Hidden Schools of Occupied Greece and the American Classical Schools of Today. In his premier lecture\, Mr. Waits will explore how the hidden schools of Ottoman occupied Greece helped save an entire language\, culture\, and way of life\, drawing parallels between the Krypho Scholeio of Greece and the American classical school of today. Having spent an extended period of time on site in Greece during the Greek Language and Residency portion of his MA program through Ralston College\, Mr. Waits is eager to blend his personal experiences with real events\, bringing history to life for all who attend.
